Smart911 at UNC-Chapel Hill

Smart911 is a joint program between the Department of Public Safety and the Division of Student Affairs and is offered as a service to the UNC-Chapel Hill community. Smart911 builds on the proven technology of the Rave Guardian service which has been in place on campus for the past couple of years. In addition to offering service for all members of the UNC community, Guardian is an important tool for the SafeWalk program and adds an additional layer of security for safe walkers and students.

Students, faculty and staff can make use of Smart911 free of charge. Funding for the program is being provided by the Division of Student Affairs.
